In permaculture we explore edges. The edges between ecosystems are rich with
biodiversity; there is great potential to maximize the edges in our designs
to create abundance and fertility.



On a personal level, each of us has our own unique edges, professionally,
politically, socially, and emotionally. Meeting an edge is both a challenge
and an opportunity, ripe with vulnerability and the potential for expansion.
For example, some might see conflict as an edge, yet within every conflict
is an opportunity for growth. When we meet conflict, we can leverage the
conflicting, firey energies with compassion, and respect. By doing so, we
can lift off from a place of anger, frustration, and criticism into
understanding, trust, and peace.



Every morning when we wake up, we are at an edge between deep sleep and a
new day…
